Language Requirement
The official language of the Federative Republic of Brazil is Portuguese. Consequently, any foreign student has to have an efficient command of the language in order to functionally participate and to be evaluated. Native Spanish speakers are basically understood by Brazilians, particularly in Rio Grande do Sul, and generally adapt to the Portuguese language with considerable facility.
Portuguese is not a requirement for admission to ESADE, but is strongly recommended that students attend classes of Portuguese for Foreigners course previously.
The International Office may recomend a Portugese for Foreigners Course* in Porto Alegre for those interested in learning Brazilian Portuguese.
* paid by the student
